What if this interface were implemented on Korean Air?
05. AI Assistant
Users can request water, snacks, and other
items through an AI assistant. They can also
set alarms for reminders, such as taking
medication at specific times.
04. Flight Info
Users can view flight details on a 3D map
and explore their destination city with
the 'Explore' button.
03. Open Chat Room
Users can chat with fellow passengers to
make new connections, share information,
or simply socialize. They can also create chat
rooms based on specific topics, bringing
together like-minded travelers for meaningful
conversations during the flight.
02. Movie: Screen-Share
Users can invite other passengers to
share their screens and watch movies
together. The recipient can choose to
accept, decline, or opt out of the screen
share. While watching, users can chat
and share reactions with one another.

control the in-flight entertainment screen.
They can personalize their profiles and
choose how they appear, while the
system recommends content based on
their favorite movie genre and travel habits.

through shared experiences, fostering
connections across diverse backgrounds
while easing boredom and discomfort.
Concept Development
Overview
SkyConnect is an Inflight Smart TV designed to
seamlessly integrate across airlines, enhancing
connectivity and entertainment in the sky. As my
senior thesis project at Pratt, I designed an intuitive
interface that improves user experience while
aligning with airline branding and passenger needs.
Opportunity
Even though there's a growing trend of international
travel, in-flight experiences have remained largely
unchanged compared to other forms of transportation.
This creates an opportunity to enhance in-flight
entertainment and offer a more engaging,
connected experience.
